In 1981, while the rest of the surf world was caught up in the shortboard thruster revolution, Ben Aipa flipped the script. He brought the longboard back, but not as you knew it. He engineered a new kind of weapon, the Modern Longboard, a high-performance tanker that moved like a shortboard and changed the way people thought about riding longboards forever.

In 1982 he doubled down and spun the idea into something even more disruptive. The MINI-TANK. A compact version of the Modern Longboard, from 5'10" to 7'6", designed to pack longboard flow into a more aggressive, agile frame.
